Dot throwing
15 min (depending on the number of participants)
Easy
Various "targets" (e.g., saucepan, plastic bowl, cardboard box) and suitable throwing objects (e.g., beanbags, tennis balls, crumpled paper, etc.)
2–10
How to do it
-
Collect targets of different sizes and shapes – e.g., buckets, wastebaskets, pots, or boxes.
-
Choose or let the young people choose throwing objects – e.g., beanbags, tennis balls, or soft toys. Anything that is safe and fits the targets will work.
-
Place the targets at different distances or heights and assign them point values. The longer the distance and the more difficult the placement, the more points.
-
The participants take turns throwing at the selected targets and collect points for hits.
-
Try different variations – throwing with one hand, with eyes closed, or with instructions from a friend.
-
If you want, you can create scorecards, hold a fun competition, or just focus on having fun together.
Dot throwing trains concentration, provides opportunities for experiences of success, and encourages positive interaction.
