Me too
approx. 10 min
Easy
Chairs or other placeholders (e.g., cones) – one per participant
10–20
How to do it
-
Place the chairs or placeholders in a circle, one for each participant. One person starts standing in the middle of the circle – they do not have their own place.
-
The person in the middle makes a statement, for example: “I visited an amusement park this summer.” Everyone who recognizes themselves in the statement stands up and swaps places with each other.
-
The person who made the statement tries to find an empty seat in the circle. The person who is left without a seat stands in the middle and makes a new statement.
-
If the person in the middle cannot think of a statement, they can say, “Me too!”, and then all participants switch places with each other.
-
The game can continue as long as the group dynamics and mood allow. Often, about 10 minutes is a good amount of time.
The game strengthens the sense of community and belonging and lowers the threshold for participation. Shared experiences become visible and young people can express themselves in a fun and safe way.
