Me too

A group game to get to know each other, which helps participants find common experiences.
Time

approx. 10 min

Difficulty

Easy

Equipment

Chairs or other placeholders (e.g., cones) – one per participant

Participants

10–20

How?

How to do it

  1. Place the chairs or placeholders in a circle, one for each participant. One person starts standing in the middle of the circle – they do not have their own place.

  2. The person in the middle makes a statement, for example: “I visited an amusement park this summer.” Everyone who recognizes themselves in the statement stands up and swaps places with each other.

  3. The person who made the statement tries to find an empty seat in the circle. The person who is left without a seat stands in the middle and makes a new statement.

  4. If the person in the middle cannot think of a statement, they can say, “Me too!”, and then all participants switch places with each other.

  5. The game can continue as long as the group dynamics and mood allow. Often, about 10 minutes is a good amount of time.

Why?

The game strengthens the sense of community and belonging and lowers the threshold for participation. Shared experiences become visible and young people can express themselves in a fun and safe way.
