How?

How to do it

  1. Agree on common guidelines for when to hold meetings during walks—for example, on a certain day of the week, when the agenda does not include presentations or items that require screen use, or when it involves group work.

  2. The walk does not always have to be effective or productive. It can also be a shared breather in the middle of the meeting.

  3. Choose a route in advance or set out without a specific plan. During the walk, you can talk about planning, ideas, or give each other feedback.

  4. Consider a suitable route that suits everyone and take weather conditions into account.

  5. Walking meetings can open up new conversations and lighten the mood. Make it a habit to share your observations and the benefits of the method.

Why?

Walking promotes concentration, increases well-being at work, and creates a culture where exercise is a natural part of the working day. The meetings can be both youth meetings and work meetings with colleagues.
