How?

How to do it

  1. Ask the participants to stand in a circle.

  2. Explain that the exercise combines movement and words—for example, a jump + their name.

  3. The first participant (e.g., the instructor) starts by doing a movement, such as jumping, and saying their name out loud.

  4. The next person in line does a different movement, such as squatting down, and also says their name.

  5. The circle then continues alternately with these two movements: jump – squat – jump – squat, etc. At the same time, each person says their name or another agreed-upon theme.

  6. You can change the word theme, for example:
    – Favorite ice cream flavor
    – Dream job
    – The best thing about today
    – Favorite animal or favorite color

  7. The movements can also be changed: X-jumps, push-ups, spins, dance moves… Let the young people come up with movement and theme pairs together!

Why?

Strengthens concentration and makes it easier to be present. It increases the feeling of togetherness, lowers the threshold for participation, and supports spontaneous interaction.
