How?

How to do it

  1. Put together a team of assistant leaders. Plan the upcoming activity day with meaningful, movement-inspiring, and creative activities for the young people.

  2. Choose content based on the young people’s wishes. Decide how to collect their wishes. Feel free to use methods from the section Involve the young people in the ideas.

  3. Divide up responsibilities. For example: smoothie station, jewelry workshop, face painting, badminton station, volleyball station… Each group has a leader who is responsible for providing support.

  6. Make an equipment list and check the materials. Go through what is needed with the assistants. Check what can be borrowed, e.g. from the youth center (smoothie machine, balls).

  7. Plan marketing. The assistant leaders can create an advertisement for the event to be shared at youth centers, schools, and on social media. Decide on distribution and schedule.

  8. On the day of the activity: Make sure the day gets off to a smooth start and that there is sufficient support and guidance at the various activity stations.

  9. Summarize afterwards. Meet with the organizing team to share thoughts and experiences: What went well? Are there any ideas for improvement for next time?

Why?

Joint events provide experiences, new experiences, and a sense of participation. Planning and implementation strengthen young people’s initiative, responsibility, and group skills. The combination of exercise and creativity promotes overall well-being.
