How?

How

  1. Instruct the group to form a large circle.

  2. Choose a volunteer to stand in the middle of the circle.

  3. The person in the middle closes their eyes, spins around, opens their eyes, and then points to someone in the circle while making eye contact.

  4. The person who is pointed at quickly crouches down. The participants standing on either side of that person turn to each other, try to remember each other’s names, and say them out loud as quickly as possible.

  5. The person who says the name more slowly goes to the center, and the game continues.

  6. The exercise continues as long as the group has good energy and most people have had a turn.

Why?

Learning names helps people get to know each other and lowers the threshold for participating in group activities. Moving together and using humor creates a safe atmosphere, strengthens interaction skills, and increases the group’s sense of belonging.
