How?

How to do it

  1. Think in advance about an indoor or outdoor area that can be used for building courses. It will be easier to test the courses if they are built close to each other.

  2. Lay out all the available equipment.

  3. Instruct the young people to plan an obstacle course using their creativity. You can spark ideas by asking: “What else can you do with a table tennis bat?”

  4. Divide the participants into small groups (2–4 people) and specify how much time they have to plan and build their course.

  5. When the courses are ready, the groups take turns presenting their course to the others and explaining how it should be completed.

  6. After the presentations, test the courses. Some can participate as testers, others as cheerleaders or judges.

  7. End with a short reflection round:
    – “What was fun?”
    – “Which course did you like best? Why?”
    – “How would you build a course next time?”

Why?

Joint development and realization of ideas strengthen creativity and a sense of belonging. Playfulness and a relaxed atmosphere reduce stress and tension.
