How?

How to do it

  1. Stand up, start moving, and invite the young people to join in.

  2. Start with a simple movement: roll your shoulders 10 times in all directions. Count aloud.

  3. Raise your heart rate: do 20 knee lifts on the spot, alternating legs.

  4. Next: stretch your arms upward and bend your upper body to the side, 5 times in each direction.

  5. Finish by winding down: do 5 calm breathing cycles, inhale and raise your arms, exhale and lower them.

  6. Adapt the movements as needed to suit the group. You can also let the young people come up with their own movements and lead the session.

Why?

A short exercise session helps regulate energy levels, relax, strengthen the connection between body and mind, and create a pleasant break in the day. A surprising start lowers the threshold for participation and makes it easier for young people to get moving.
