MIELI Crisis Chat
Appointment-based MIELI Crisis Chat is a single-session crisis support service.
You can reach out if you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or struggling with a difficult situation. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly where to start, just share how things feel right now.
The person you’ll speak with is either a crisis work professional or a trained volunteer from MIELI ry or one of our member organisations across Finland.
Register in Tukinet
To book your chat, you will be guided to the Tukinet platform. Please note that you will need to sign in or create an anonymous Tukinet account to complete your booking.
We recommend booking your chat session a day in advance. Please note that bookings must be made at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

MIELI Crisis Email
MIELI Crisis Email (Support contact) provides short-term assistance for those experiencing a crisis or other difficult life situations where a single conversation may not be enough.
You will communicate with the same worker throughout the process. All conversations are anonymous and confidential. The service is free of charge, and no referral is needed.
Counsellors are either crisis work professionals, social and health care students or trained volunteers selected for the role. Both volunteers and students work under the guidance of professional supervisors.
Register in Tukinet
To receive support, you will need to register anonymously and sign in to the Tukinet platform. A staff member will match you with a suitable counsellor based on your first message and the background information you provide.
It may take us some time to respond to your message, but we do our best to get back to everyone who contacts us for help. If you are able to write to us in Finnish, we can usually provide a response within a week. We appreciate your patience.
