What is your story? – Stages of immigration
The poster depicts the different stages of immigration through a young person’s perspective. In the beginning there might be difficulties finding friends and learning new cultural habits. All the while the family, especially parents, support and continue to uphold the culture of the country of origin. At some point they settle into new social circles and the surrounding culture while still remembering their roots. The poster’s increasingly colorful scarf depicts their identity change becoming richer and more complex as they form their identity based on the culture of their origin, the new culture and turn it into something entirely their own.
